With more than 200 attendees the 2nd EuroCloud Congress is over. A very successful congress with a lot of interesting insights from the industry, politicians and EuroCloud itself.

Patrick Berghaeger, from PHC, with an overall filling that was very positive, conclude: “I predict a really bright future for Eurocloud and one PHC Software want to be a part of. You can see the potential and also the hard work done by those at Eurocloud. I would return to this congress and just hope it becomes more commercial and less political.”.In the other side, Patrick highlight that the congress should improve the network infrastructure, trying to provide more support to the companies willing to develop new partnerships and business, Patrick said “I would suggest that a more easy to use and less text heavy website was created, that would simply allow me to see who would be present and also allow to schedule a meeting easily. “The Eurcloud Congress in Luxemburg was a great experience, and really met my expectations. Luxemburg has a strong political and economical drive to promote the country as a ITC and Cloud hub for Europe, and therefore is very supportive in iniciatives such as the Eurcloud. The event was very well organized, the venue is great, and tehre were a lot of interesting companies, of all sizes, across the Cloud space – Telcos, platform vendors, hosters, Saas developers and Academia. There were lots of informal networking opportunities, and everybody was very open and friendly, regardless the size or market relevance. A 5 people startup can easily talk to a SAP Product Manager or a Verizon Business Developer about product roadmaps or Partnership opportunities.” |
